Wildcat Rocketry from Kansas State University are BACK to BACK Champions of the 2026 Argonia Cup!
They staged a flight to 25,449' with a payload of 10 golf balls, giving them a final score of 82,680.


In second place was Cowboy Rocketworks from Oklahoma State University. Their flight achieved 24,657' with a payload of 9 golf balls, scoring 78,275.

Third place was the Cougar Rockets from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville. Their flight achieved 23,572' with a payload of 14 golf balls, giving them a score of 75,484.

Competition Objective

The goal for the 2026 Argonia Cup is to design and launch an efficient and optimized two-stage rocket containing any number of golf balls as a payload in the sustainer to the highest altitude possible. The sustainer must reach a minimum of 9,000’ AGL and not exceed 40,000’ AGL. Both stages of the rocket must recover safely and in re-flyable condition.
