KLOUDBusters' Sweaty BALLS II

Coming off our annual 3 months break to allow the farmers to work the fields in the area of the Argonia Rocket Pasture all our rocketry friends have a hankering to get out and fly some rockets. To fulfill that need, KLOUDBusters in 2009 introducted a new 2-day Research event: Sweaty BALLS. Why that name? Well ... it is usually really hot in July (hence Sweaty), and the premiere Research event is widely recognized as the BALLS event. Combine the Kansas summer heat with serious research rocketry and you get Sweaty BALLS at Argonia. Sweaty BALLS is a launch for anyone who is serious about high power rocketry - no pretenders.

Here's a quick update on SB2.

Friday 7/09/2010 5:00pm-ish - mowing and range set-up

Range Hours:
Saturday 7/10/2010 8:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday 7/11/2010 9:00am - 4:00pm

We're going to have a cook-out at the field on Saturday after the range closes.
KLOUDBusters will provide burgers, dogs, buns, and side dishes for the cookout. Please bring chips or dessert to share and your own beverage. I would like to get an approximate headcount, so if you're planning on joining us for the Post Launch cookout on Saturday, please drop a note to president@kloudbusters.org with the number attending the cookout.

Sparky Status: GO Range Fees: $15 for non-members; $0 for members

The launch is TRA Research both days. You must be a TRA member and over 18 to participate.

It won't be nearly as hot this year as last, but don't get suckered into thinking you don't need plenty of water and/or Gatorade ... and bring shade, sunscreen and bug spray so you don't get sunstroke, sunburned and eaten alive.

We're looking forward to a GREAT launch!
